Taught by Lydia Ruyle and guests: Meinrad Craighead, Joan Marler, Miriam Robbins Dexter, Vicki Noble, Lucia Chiavola Birnbaum and Thomas Coburn

The Goddess and Herstory are symbols of empowerment for women and a metaphor for the transformation of consciousness that is now underway throughout the world. For three hours a day for three weeks, students will explore inherited images and ideas of the Goddess through a multi-media approach: slides, videos, texts, guest speakers, journaling, group sharing, exhibition, and a personal creative hands-on project. Students will create their own individual symbolic language and use it in a creative project. Invited guests Meinrad Craighead, Joan Marler, Lucia Chiavola Birnbaum, Miriam Robbins Dexter, Vicki Noble and Thomas Coburn will share their knowledge. The course will focus on multicultural perspectives of womenıs ways of knowing and experiencing the world honoring the interconnectedness of all life.
