hosting new exhibits

We are eager to co-create ideas and partnerships to bring Lydia Ruyle’s art to a wide range of venues, institutions, galleries, museums, conferences, and immersive shows..

Our goal is to use these in-person experiences as a platform to educate, entertain and inspire visitors about the divine feminine through a sustainable and socially responsible model that gives back to communities in a creative and thoughtful way.

How to host an exhibition of the Goddess Banners

There is nothing quite like seeing the original banners up close and in person. They turn ordinary spaces into sacred spaces. The “girls” make a venue come alive with their vibrant colors and powerful images.

Portable & easy to display

The wonderful benefit to this collection is the banners are very portable and easy to display.  One only needs simple supplies, a small team and a dose of creative systems thinking. The art can be hung outside depending on the weather. They fold up when transported and can hang almost anywhere - and they have - from the plateaus of Machu Picchu, to urban settings in Chicago, to museums in Ephesus, Turkey.

Because of their portability, there is endless versatility within a venue to create an extraordinary experience for visitors to encounter the goddess “spirits” and to appreciate the remarkable textile art of each individual banner.

Depth of The Collection

The size of the collection offers a wide range of curatorial opportunities. The installation can focus on specific regions (the Americas), specific eras (Paleolithic), specific deities (Crones), specific attributes (Miracles of the Black Madonnas) or general themes of the sacred feminine across time.

Each banner has a laminated note card that can be mounted near the banner. The card includes the historical reference of the image along with a short description of the significance of the figure in Lydia’s own words.

We also encourage including a curator talk or guest lecturer opportunity with Katie Hoffner about the art and artist.

Custom Exhibits

We are open to any ideas for custom/bespoke exhibits or immersive experiences.  Most venues choose a pop-up style experience which allows for flexibility in planning and more custom options for a gift shop to accompany the exhibit. The goal of LydiaRuyle.com is to nurture the eco-system of wherever her art resides not only from an aesthetic and experiential perspective but also as an economic benefit directly to the venue/community that is hosting the exhibit.

How to host an exhibition of the crop circles

The Crop Circles are also an extraordinary experience for any venue or space. With over 40 pieces, these large (42” x 70”) art banners of Crop Circles depicting sacred geometry offer a “portal” into deeper understanding, into spiritual presence, and into the silent architecture of the cosmos. The sacred geometry that Lydia crafted from Crop Circles uses patterns found in nature—like the flower of life, double helix, and Fibonacci spiral—which are believed to be the fundamental blueprints of creation. Depicting these forms in art helps visualize the hidden order of the cosmos and our connection to it.

display

Most of the pieces are constructed out of hand-made paper pulp with the Crop Circle image painted on with bright neon colors. They are relatively sturdy but need extra care when unrolling and packing them. They can be hung with magnetic metal brackets.

Custom Exhibits

We are open to any ideas for custom/bespoke exhibits or immersive experiences. And just like with the Goddess Banners, LydiaRuyle.com is committed to nurturing the eco-system of wherever her art resides not only from an aesthetic and experiential perspective but also as an economic benefit directly to the venue/community that is hosting the exhibit.
